The Good News of the Road to Salvation

Romans 3:23 – ‘For all have sinned ,and come short of the glory of God’

We’re all sinners.. every one of us by nature. We can’t help it. Blame Adam and Eve. I don’t care how ‘good’ of a person you think you are or how perfectly you try to live your life. Unfortunately, you’re still a sinner. And that very fact separates us from God for eternity. I know a lot of people can’t understand why a loving God would ‘send’ us to Hell. But, that’s not how it works. He is a loving God and doesn’t force anyone into His presence that doesn’t want to be there. The ball is in your court.

But, there’s some good news! Thankfully, God loves us in spite of our sin. In fact, God’s love is SO big, that He sent His only son to Earth to take on that sin for us and die in our place. He gave us an out. I can’t even begin to fathom a love like that. The very fact that He would send His Son.. for me and you.. just so we have the opportunity to spend eternity with Him is a love none of us deserve. All We have to do is accept that gift.

Romans 5:8 – ‘But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’

The path to that eternity with God is very simple. We first have to admit that we ARE sinners and need His forgiveness. We have to be willing to ASK for His forgiveness and to turn away from that sin to live a life with Him as the center. A life that builds a close relationship with Him. He wants that with us.

Romans 6:23 – ‘For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.’

The next step towards salvation is to believe that Christ died for your sins and rose 3 days later. Open your heart to Him and ask Him to come into your life. It really is that simple. I promise you won’t regret it. God will give you a peace and a joy that is hard to explain in a simple blog. I encourage everyone that’s read this far, if you haven’t already… accept God into your life. There’s a little prayer at the end of this article that you can pray to help you get there. Reach out to someone, your pastor, a supportive friend, your local Bible believing church, anyone… if you need that help.

Romans 10:9 – ‘If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.’

Romans 10:13 – ‘For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

Heavenly Father,

I admit that I’m a sinner and I’m asking for your forgiveness. I believe You sent Your son and that He died on the cross for my sins. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Help me to live my life for You and to do your will.

...and finally. John 3:16 ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’
